Geography A Level at Bristol Metropolitan Academy
The AS course covers a range of physical and human geography topics. Students will study physical environments such as rivers and coasts both in the classroom and in the field. They will also investigate human issues such as population change and energy use which incorporate themes such as migration, the population explosion, economic development, climate change and transport issues. At A2 students study hazardous environments which includes earthquakes, volcanoes and tsunamis. They also investigate the emergence of megacities and the issues related to planning and managing rapidly growing urban areas in developing countries.
GCSE Geography – B grade and GCSE English – C gradeAlternatively , if GCSE Geography not studied, then GCSE – B grade in a good range of subjects including GCSE English
