Theatrical, Special Effects, Hair and Media Make-up Level 3 Diploma at Hull College Group

Course description

This course is for those who are interested in a career in theatre, television, fashion or as a freelance make-up artist.

Fashion is not only a glamorous industry, it is at the forefront of many trends and has a cultural impact on the way we live our lives.  Working in this fast-paced industry as a make-up artist is both exciting and challenging.

Students will learn how to create fashion and photographic make-up images, how to apply highlighting and shading techniques and other illusions in order to effectively ‘age’ a performer and the application and seamless blending of small prosthetic pieces and bald caps is also covered.

  • Creative Hairdressing Skills
  • Design Face and Body Art
  • Apply Airbrush Make-up to the Face
  • Media Make-up
  • Apply Small Prosthetic Pieces and Bald Caps

Entry requirements

Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy, Level 2 Diploima in Hairdressing,Level 2 Diploma in Photography, Level 2 Diploma in Performing Arts.

Financial information

Students will be required to provide an overall and kit.  Information will be provided at interview.

The College is also fortunate to have an active Student Union which hosts an annual ‘Freshers’ Fair’ for students at the beginning of the Autumn term and organises social events throughout the year.
