Childcare: Level 2 at Suffolk New College

Course description

This study programme offers you the opportunity to learn in a real working environment, with 2 days a week working with children in an early years setting. Students last year had the opportunity to visit a Forest School, the Museum of Childhood in London and the Nursery World Exhibition, all of which supported their programme of study. Further developments this year include the opportunity to take part in a range of employment and enrichment activities within PSE sessions to support students in developing wider skills to support employment.

All students who have not yet achieved a grade C or grade 4 or above in GCSE English or Maths will continue to study GCSE English and either GCSE or Functional Skills Maths dependent on their Maths entry grade.
