Professional Food and Beverage Service Level 2 at Peterborough Regional College

Course description

Could you see yourself working in some of the best hotels and restaurants in the world? Then why not consider a career within the hospitality industry. The Level 2 Professional Food & Beverage Service qualification focuses on front desk operations, menu planning and design, bar service including cocktails and the running of events.

This course will provide you with a solid foundation of knowledge to move onto the Level 3 Food and Beverage Service Supervision qualification.

All of our students have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience within the industry, with some of our previous students securing full–time employment at top London restaurants such as The Ritz and Claridge's.

Course content

All restaurant service including front of house, table and bar service, menu planning and design, handling and dealing with payments, supervision of the restaurant, running events, bar service including cocktails and front desk operations.

All of our students have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience within the industry, with some of our previous students securing full–time employment at top London restaurants such as The Ritz and Claridges.

Entry requirements

You will need GCSE grade 3 (D) in maths and English and Level 1 in Professional
Cookery.

 

Financial information

You will need to purchase a restaurant uniform and food and drinks text book. Information on this will be provided at interview.

Food and Beverage Service Supervision Level 3.

Further information

You will be required to attend a Welcome Event, details will be provided upon application.

All study resources are available on the college module to support with assignments and practical assessments.

This course can be combined with English, Maths, Work Experience and Employability Skills.
