IT and Telecoms Professional Level 2 Apprenticeship at Northumberland College
Any person who works in the IT Industry who would like to develop their skills and knowledge to become competent in their chosen job role. Individuals who are new to the industry and require a complete training package would normally follow the traditional Apprenticeship route. This usually comprises of some training at College and some training and assessment in the work place.
You will study units including systems security, fault diagnosis and repair of IT systems. Ideal if you work in an IT role and want to gain a recognised qualification.
You should have four GCSEs at Grade D or above including English and Maths or a relevant Level 1 qualification and be employed in IT.
Throughout the Apprenticeship as skills and knowledge are developed and evidence of this gathered, progress will be assessed by the course team. Evidence may be gathered in many different ways including: * Written * Research * Practical activity * Group work * Discussion * Observation of activity * Photographs * Witness statements * And a variety of other methods Additional work based assessments will be carried out by our ICT Work Based Assessor.
Typically an apprentice will enter the Intermediate Apprenticeship directly from education or from an existing role in the sector.
