French at Cardinal Newman Catholic School

Course description

French is a major world language spoken in countries as diverse as Guadeloupe, Senegal and Canada. It is also one of the main languages of the European Union and is therefore used in the worlds of government and business. Furthermore, it is one of the prime languages in world literature, drama, cinema, fashion and food!

On this course you will be offered high level tuition by experienced A-level teachers including native speakers. You will have maximum support to help develop your linguistic abilities and work to a consistently high level of fluency and grammatical accuracy.

A language A-level is a perfect complement to many other subjects ranging from Biology to Sociology. Newman College 21 Courses A degree in French combined with subjects such as ICT, Economics, Law or Engineering, indicates to a prospective employer that a person has excellent communication skills alongside problem-solving and decision-making abilities. A foreign language will always be a major asset on any Curriculum Vitae. Graduates in French have one of the lowest unemployment rates of all university students.
