Business Studies at Tunbridge Wells Grammar School for Boys
To promote a student’s curiosity and develop skills which help them understand the real world of business. We expect our Business Studies students to possess the following: • a genuine interest in current affairs, • problem solving skills, • a willingness to join the Young Enterprise scheme.
Assessment: There is no coursework associated with this course. Students are assessed through three examinations at the end of Year 13

Examinations A-Level Paper 1: Marketing, people and global business 35% Paper 2: Business activities, decisions and strategies 35% Paper 3: Investigating businesses in a competitive environment 30%
A grade B in Business Studies or another humanities subject.
A business related degree: highly popular with both students and employers alike, allowing for entry into many professional and managerial roles.
Alternatively, apprenticeships and excellent job opportunities are accessible for those not wishing to go into higher education. The A-Level also gives budding entrepreneurs an excellent foundation for starting their own business.
