BTEC Travel & Tourism Level 3 Diploma at Balby Carr Community Academy

Course description

This Vocational course is completely coursework assessed, which means there are no exams.

There are 4 mandatory units which must be covered and this will give learners 40 credits.

In Year 12 learners will study the four mandatory units which will give 40 credits and study additional units to accrue a further 20 credits. All learners will have the opportunity to complete a work placement within the Travel and Tourism sector which will count towards the total assessment.

At the end of Year 12 learners will have accumulated 60 credits in total and this will qualify them for the Subsidiary Diploma in Travel and Tourism.

In Year 13 learners will study more units worth an additional 60 credits, taking the total credits for the course to 120.

At this point learners will be eligible to be awarded the Diploma in Travel and Tourism.

The Travel and Tourism department at Balby Carr will provide learners with the optional opportunity to gain another 60 credits which will qualify them for the Extended Diploma. Learners would have to complete this work in their own time.
