BTEC Business Studies at Moseley Park
WHO IS IT FOR?
For students who have an interest in applying their business knowledge and skills whilst gaining a deeper understanding of the core elements of business practice. Subjects studied include the Business Environment, Marketing, Human Resource Management and Finance. Students will develop skills such as decision making, problem solving, communication and teamwork skills; demonstrating their learning in real life contexts.
BTEC Level 3:
Certificate in Business – AS Level
Subsidiary Diploma in Business – 1 A Level
Diploma in Business – 2 A Levels
Extended Diploma in Business – 3 A Levels
There are no entry requirements for students wishing to study BTEC Level 3 Business qualifications.
All BTEC National qualifications in Business are 100% coursework and are internally assessed. The assessment approach allows learners to receive feedback on their progress throughout the course as they provide evidence towards the assessment and grading criteria. Assessment may be evidenced through a range of diverse activities including assignment and project work, case studies, role play and oral presentation.
A Level 3 BTEC in Business Studies will provide routes to undergraduate courses to study at a wide range of universities, such as: Aston, Birmingham and Manchester. Undergraduate courses in Business are commonly Business Management based with the option to combine modules such as Finance, Marketing, HR, Law, Economics and Entrepreneurship.APPRENTICESHIP PATHWAYS
This apprenticeship is about playing an important support role within a business or organisation. Roles include:
Administration Officer / Executive
Students studying business can progress onto many different careers including the Legal Profession, Marketing, Human Resources, Accounting and Finance and Retail Management.
