Advanced Level inApplied ICT at Sir William Robertson Academy

Course description

If you choose to study GCE Advanced Level in Applied ICT you will learn how to use appropriate ICT tools and techniques to carry out investigations, handle data, solve problems and manage projects. The AS qualifi cation will develop your communication and decision-making skills, whilst the Double Award at AS and A2 Level will introduce you to key aspects of the ICT practitioner role, including system design and installation, software development, website design and management, technical support, networks and communications and working with end users.

Entry requirements

The minimum entry requirement to get on a full AdvancedLevel programme at Sir William Robertson Sixth Form is 5GCSE grades at A*-C including English and Maths.

We would also normally expect you to have at least a grade C at GCSE, where taken, in the subject or course you wishto take at Advanced Level.

Where the GCSE has not been taken, the Core and/or a related GCSE will be used todetermine suitability.
