Geography A Level at Parkstone Grammar School

Course description

Geography is everywhere! The A Level curriculum takes you on a journey to different climates, cultures and foreign lands as well as places closer to home. You need to take an interest in the world around you and keep up with current affairs and Geography in the news which help add up to date knowledge to case studies and provide a good impression to examiners of a well read and educated student.

Unit 3 GEOG 3: ‘Contemporary Geographical Issues’ - 30% of
the total A Level mark - Exam is 2 hours 30 minutes – 90 marks
Structured start and extended questions plus a 40 mark essay sat in June
Unit 4 GEOG 4B: ‘Geographical Issue Evaluation’ - 20% of the total A level mark 1½ hour written exam
