Beauty and Make Up Artistry Level 2 at The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London

Course description

This course will build on your skills and passion for makeup, by teaching you how to provide character make-up techniques, remove special effects, media and make-up. 

You will study health and safety associated with anatomy and physiology, practical skills for make-up, Functional Skills in maths and English. You will practice your skills carried out on clients and fellow students. You will also have the opportunity to learn new skills by helping in the day-to-day running of the salons and reception area.

You will need time for personal study and you must be able to purchase your own specialist kit and uniform.

Course content

The course is taught in class rooms, salons and in work shops.

You will have the opportunity to work on live projects to develop your professional skills.

Entry requirements

You will need 4 GCSEs at grades D-G, or Beauty Therapy NVQ Level 1, to come to an interview, pass an assessment, have a good reference and an 87% attendance record.

Assessment

You will be assessed by your assignments and portfolio as well as some examinations.

Future opportunities

The course leads to work, an apprenticeship or study at the next level.
