Future opportunities

Success in AS level or A level in a modern foreign language shows employers and college admissions tutors that not only are you intelligent, but also you have acquired good study skills. Even if you do not study the language as your main degree course, you can often follow a subsidiary course at university. Your ability to communicate in that language will be highly valued by employers. The ability to speak, write well in and understand a foreign language is often the deciding factor when employers are choosing potential employees.
