Music Technology Extended Diploma Level 3 at Canterbury College Not
This course will enable you to find a particular musical area of interest. Formal music training is not required but knowledge of basic music theory and technology will help.
You will learn about: music squencing; sound recording; computer music; live sound; composing; remixing to music; getting work in music; digital recording production; acoustics; digital audio concepts and composing for film and documentary.
You will need five GCSEs at grade C (including English and Maths) or a Level 2 Music Diploma at Merit grade (or an equivalent qualification). Entry onto the course is subject to an interview and attendance at our compulsory summer school.
Through a combination of written assignments, tests, practical work, group projects and exams.
You can progress to an HND in Music Technology, go into a degree-level programme, or gain employment in the music industry.
Guest speakers from industry are invited to talk about their role in the sector. You will be expected to complete a minimum of 30 hours of work experience each year.
