Sport Pearson National Certificate Level 3 at The Belvedere Academy 6th Form

Course description

There will be three mandatory units covered:
  • Anatomy and Physiology
  • Fitness Training and Programming for Health, Sport and Well-being
  • Professional Development in the Sport Industry
In addition, there will be an optional unit which will be chosen from areas such as
  • Application of fitness testing
  • Sport Psychology
  • Practical Sports Performance
  • Sports leadership 
 

Entry requirements

GCSE PE

BTEC Level 2 in Sport / Sport and Exercise Management

Interest and involvement in Sport and Physical Activity 

Assessment

The Anatomy and Physiology unit will be assessed by a written exam set and marked by Pearson.

The Fitness Training and Programming for Health, Sport and Well-being unit will be assessed via a task set and marked by Pearson.

The Professional Development in the Sports Industry unit as well as the optional unit will be set and marked internally.
