AS/A2 Level in Drama and Theatre Studies at Great Marlow School
Drama and Theatre Studies is a lively, dynamic and stimulating course which offers its students the opportunity to participate in a range or practical and academic pursuits. The course demands practical, creative and communication skills in almost equal measure. Students will extend their ability to create drama and theatre, either in a performing or production role. They will also be required to write about drama and develop their powers of analysis and to become an informed critic. The course will involve taking part in productions as well as studying plays and playwrights.
Students should have achieved at least a Grade C in their GCSE Drama to join this course. Students will also have obtained a Grade C in GCSE English Language.
However, students who have a genuine passion for the subject will be considered for the course.
