Course description
Students looking to enter into the world of business and/or accountancy.
Course content
This qualification combines a 60 credit course in business (4 mandatory units plus chosen optional units to reach the combined total of 60 credits), with completion of Level 2 AAT for those students interested in both business and accountancy. The qualification provides an opportunity to study the key areas of business and accountancy, applying these to selected organisations.
Entry requirements
Students are required to have five GCSE passes at grade C or above.
Assessment
This qualification combines two nationally recognised qualifications assessed through a combination of coursework and examination. Assessment can be through written assignments, presentations, role plays, team activities and on line assessment for AAT. All business units are assessed by the college and moderated by the awarding body. An overall grade of Pass, Merit, Distinction or Distinction* is then awarded for Subsidiary Diploma in Business.
Future opportunities
This combined qualification could support you when applying for jobs in business related careers such as accounting, administration, customer service, finance, IT, human resource management, marketing or sales. Students can also use this qualification to progress onto Level 3 Diploma in Business with AAT Level 3 or Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business.
