Physics at The Pingle School

Course description

What will I learn on this course?

The advanced level physics course is based on a modular assessment scheme. The modules to be covered will include work on particles, quantum physics, mechanics, materials, electricity, waves and fields.

How will I be assessed?

Each of the modules will be assessed by an end of module test, which will be set and marked externally by the examination board’s examiners. Practical skills will be assessed externally.

Entry requirements

Students must have a grade B or better in GCSE physics or B in GCSE and additional science. A grade B in GCSE mathematics and a grade C in GCSE English are also essential.
