Bricklaying Level 2 Diploma at Amersham and Wycombe College
Learners will gain a full insight into the construction industry and gain the necessary knowledge and skills to achieve a Level 2 qualification in bricklaying.
This course builds on the skills gained at Level 1 and includes further practical development. It provides knowledge required to understand and apply the skills of bricklaying
It consists of a number of units including setting out, brick and block walling, storage of materials and working efficiently. This
course builds on the practical and theoretical assessments covered in the Level 1 Construction Diploma. You are expected to demonstrate more ambitious practical skills in bricklaying through a variety of larger scale projects. Successful completion of a Health
and Safety test is also required.

A practical assignment
The entry requirement is the completion of Level 1 Diploma. Learners will have to attend an interview with a member of the brickwork team.
Completion will be by:
Achievement of each unit and practical assessment
Completion of a portfolio of work
Synoptic practical assignment set by CAA
Attendance rate min 90%
Learners will have to provide their own safety footwear and stationery equipment (folders etc.)

Next steps are progression onto Diploma Level 3 Bricklaying
