Duration: 2 Years What will I Study?

If you are interested in a career in nursing, teaching or social care, this vocational qualification is an excellent choice. Available as a single, double or triple qualification, this is a two year course suitable for those who wish to go on to study at degree level. Not only can it help you to gain a place on a teaching, social work or related degree, it also stands students who wish to enter an apprenticeship in good stead. The course involves in-depth study of many facets of health and social care, quite broad units on working in health and social care.

Students should hold a minimum of 5 A* - C GCSE grades (or the new Grades 4 - 9) including Grade C (Grade 4+) or above in English Language

Units will be assessed in one of three ways;

Assignment set and marked within the academy.

Tasks set and marked by the Exam board

Written exam set and marked by the exam board
