Construction and the Built Environment Level 3 Diploma at City College Coventry
If you aspire to be an architect, building surveyor, quantity surveyor, structural, mechanical, civil or electrical building services engineer, construction planner or construction manager this course is the starting point for you. Extend your knowledge of the construction trade and select the modules that interest you the most. Gain a nationally recognised qualification that offers you a choice of career routes into the construction industry or onto university.
This is a Study Programme course which, if successful, leads to the 90 credit qualification over one year and progression to the full 180 credit qualification over 2 years.
You will study both the theory and practical skills that will get you up to speed with the construction industry.
Year two will build on the skills and knowledge and will work towards gaining sufficient UCAS points for progression to HE

* If you have not already achieved a GCSE pass at grade C or above in English and Maths you will study Maths and/ or English as an integral part of your college programme.
5 GCSEs grade A*-C/9-4 (including English, maths and science) or relevant equivalent qualifications, or Level 2 Diploma in Construction or Access to Building Services Engineering. Those with substantial professional experience in the sector will also be considered. You’ll attend an interview and skills assessment at the College before enrolling on this course.
