Early Years Education and Care (Level 2 CACHE Certificate) at Barking and Dagenham College

Course description

This course is ideal if you want to work with children under 5 years of age in a nursery setting. The syllabus includes: theory of play, child development, health and safety, childhood health issues and working with children and parents. As part of this course you will need a work placement for 2 days a week for the whole of the course. If you are under 19 years of age we will support you in finding that placement. If you are age 19 or over, you must source your own placement. In the placement you can be a paid employee or a volunteer, but it must be with children under 5 years of age.
