Course description

Whether you want to start your own business, go to university or secure your route into employment, this 2-year course is a fantastic opportunity to develop knowledge and understanding of the business world.

This study programme allows you to develop a range of business skills by taking part in exciting and interesting learning experiences, some of which are project-based activities for our partner organisations such as Hull and East Yorkshire Bondholders & VHEY.

At the same time you will develop professional and interpersonal skills via learning activities and work experience which will increase your employability.

Specialism is available through Law, Management and Marketing pathways.

Entry requirements

4 GCSEs at grade C and above, including English and Maths, or BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Business at Merit plus Level 2 Functional Skills English and Maths.

Future opportunities

You could progress onto a wide range of higher education courses, including the HCUK Foundation Degree in Business and Management, start your own business, gain employment or undertake an Apprenticeship.

      We want you to enjoy your time at Hull College and to help you make the most of your study time and free time too. Students are able to take part in a wide range of social and recreational activities for our students to participate in when they are not studying, as well as discounts, competitions and give-aways. The College is also fortunate to have an active Student Union which hosts an annual ‘Freshers’ Fair’ for students at the beginning of the Autumn term and organises social events throughout the year.

      Hull College students benefit from some of the best facilities in the country – and that’s official! Our most recent Ofsted report stated that the College has “outstanding specialist facilities”.
