Caring for Children CACHE Diploma Level 1 Introduction to Health, Social Care and Children and Young People's Settings (a course with an ESOL option is available) at Bradford College
This qualification encourages an understanding of the knowledge and skills needed to care for young children.
The Units cover topics such as: Care of Young Children and Self Development.
The Diploma requires 37 credits. You will be required to attend College for five days a week.
There will be the option of a placement in a childcare setting during the summer term.
You will also complete Functional Skills in Mathematics, English and IT as well as a range of other additionality programmes.
You must be 16 years or over and have a minimum of four GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade E/F or above (English Language must be at a minimum of Grade E) or an Entry Level 3 qualification in a related subject area (along with Functional Skills Entry Level 3 in English or equivalent).
A satisfactory health check, references and interview will be required.
You will be assessed by your tutor or assessor using a range of assessment methods. These will include tasks (set by CACHE) such as designing charts or leaflets and oral questioning.
