Course description

The Business course will give you an introduction to how the commercial world operates. As well as gaining business knowledge, through real business case studies, you will develop the skills of data interpretation, decision making and problem solving.

Course content

Business Studies aims to help you to develop an understanding of business organisations and the markets they serve. There are many enrichments opportunities available to Business students including, the Micro Tyco Ethical Investor Challenge, the Business Consultancy Projects and the ICAEW's Business, Accounting and Skills Competition.

Entry requirements

At Least 5 GCSEs Graded 9-4 Or A*-C Including English And Maths At Grade C/4 Or Above.


A Level Business is assessed through three exams which include open-response questions..


Financial information

The course may include opportunities to visit businesses in the UK or even abroad. There may also be a small charge for some external speakers we use who come to inspire students and enrich the curriculum. We strongly recommend that you buy the Course textbook to assist you with your independent study.
