Reserve IB Film Studies at King Ethelbert School

Course description

In IB Film Studies you will find a strong emphasis upon practical productions and creativity. The course is divided into 3 areas of study:

1. Textual analysis

2. Film theory & history

3. Creative process

You will: - make your own film productions - analyse film and film sequences - study film history - study film making theories with a focus upon films from different countries - develop creative, analytical and production skills

Entry requirements

A minimum of 5 A*-C including English & mathematics

Assessment

30 % textual Analysis
30% comparative study
40% Film portfolio
