Politics and Government at James Calvert Spence College

Course description

This course is new to the school and will examine the nature of democracy in the modern world and the ideas which underpin democratic systems of government. Students will focus on the practicalities of how the UK government operates from elections to ministerial roles and will relate current political institutions and practices to current affairs.

This course would suit anybody interested in developing their knowledge and understanding of how modern British politics works and would be especially useful for those planning careers in journalism,the law, the media, politics and the armed forces.

Entry requirements

Five GCSE subject passes grade A* - C to include either English or maths.
