Philosophy AS/A-Level at Greig City Academy

Course description

Philosophy gives students an excellent fundamental grounding in the principles of academic study applicable to any pursuit of knowledge. For this reason it provides an invaluable introduction to further study in almost any academic discipline, art or science. It allows students to develop their own points of view on the important questions in life, in a manner that they can rigorously argue and defend. It introduces students to  critical and independent thought and so also provides a good basis for facing the problems of life in an intelligent and effective manner.
