History AS/A2 Level at Cecil Jones College

Course description

You will either study an early period of European history from the 1500s to the 1600s or have the opportunity of learning about the Modern European History of the twentieth century

Entry requirements

Five A*-C including a grade B in English.


You will be assessed through written work and discussion based learning and will sit an examination at the end of the academic year.

Future opportunities

Handling and evaluating evidence and presenting a clear and logical argument in History are valuable skills and will set you up for careers in all possible avenues, including, archaeologist, archivist, banking and civil service. You could go into a career as a museum curator or travel agent.
