Course description

BTEC Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Level 3 is business related course focussing on the exciting concept of starting and running your own business. The 6 units of study offer a valuable insight into developing creativity and business innovation, business planning and leadership; all essential for running or thriving within modern businesses. The course also gives the opportunity to set up real life businesses – an experience that will prove invaluable for future career development.

Course content

Students will study 6 units over the 2 year course to achieve 1 A-Level equivalent.

Students can choose Enterprise and Entrepreneurship as their enrichment choice

Entry requirements

5 GCSEs A-C grade including Maths and English

You do not need to study Business at A-Level, or have studied Business previously, however, a strong sense of independent learning and entrepreneurship is a benefit.


100% coursework, with each unit needing to be passed to complete the course. Coursework will involve a varied mix of assignments including written reports, presentations, case studies and the demonstration of running a small start-up business.

Future opportunities

This qualification will help to develop essential skills for success within a range of different career choices as well as using the qualification to develop their applications for Higher Education.
