Hospitality Services - Front of House Level 2 at Hull College Group

Course description

During this 1 year course you will learn and develop skills to work in a front of house environment. 

You will have the opportunity to gain skills covering Food Service, Bar and Customer Service, and with the 5 week work placement there is the opportunity to gain further skills within House Keeping, Reception and Conference and Banqueting Skills, depending where your interests lie.

You will also have the opportunity to work within the College’s training restaurant, putting theory to practice

Entry requirements

Good Numeracy and Communication Skills. Level 1 on initial test. GCSE Grade D/C English and Maths or equivalent.

Financial information

You will need to purchase a uniform for the training restaurant and this can be done through the college.

Future opportunities

Level 3 Travel and Tourism or employment.

The College is also fortunate to have an active Student Union which hosts an annual ‘Freshers’ Fair’ for students at the beginning of the Autumn term and organises social events throughout the year.
