Professional Cookery Apprenticeship Level 3 at Ealing, Hammersmith & West London College

Course description

This apprenticeship will hone your cookery skills allowing you to create complex dishes supporting your future career as a chef.

This qualification covers a range of units including:

  • Prepare, cook and finish a range of complex dishes using fish, poultry, meat, game, shellfish and vegetables
  • Importance of food safety when storing, preparing and cooking
  • Safely use kitchen equipment
  • Develop productive relationships with colleagues

Entry requirements

Candidates must have a minimum of a Level 1 qualification in English and Maths as well as a Level 2 qualification in catering.


This qualification will be assessed through exams as well as practical and in work assessment.

Further information

This apprenticeship will be delivered through classroom and practical sessions in EHWLCs industry standard kitchens, one day each week during term time. Apprentices will be expected to self-study outside of the classroom and their working hours.
