A2 Level: Media Studies at King Edward VII Science and Sport College, Coalville
Year 12 involves the study of Media key concepts, the application of these to a research study and production piece and the analysis of case studies across a range of media platforms including music, advertising and film.
Grade C or above in Media GCSE/BTEC or any other social studies subject.
50% coursework – several media production pieces required coupled with a research and evaluation report.
50% examination involving the analysis of two unseen media text using media concepts.
An A level in Media provides a good grounding to go on to further study in courses such as;

¨ Moving image
With further training or study, students can go into a wide range of careers in the Media such as;

¨ Film & TV production
