Further Mathematics - A-Level at John Port School
- The two Pure Maths modules are FP1 and FP4. These modules add even greater breadth and depth of knowledge to the A level Maths learning.
- The applied module is Decision 1 and includes simple ideas of algorithms, travelling salesperson problem, linear programming and mathematical modelling.
- The two Pure Maths modules are FP2 and FP3. These build on the work learned in previous modules.
- The applied module can be Statistics 2B, Mechanics 2 or Decision 2 and is chosen to meet the interests of the group.
The general entry requirement for the Sixth Form applies. Grade B in GCSE Maths plus an average score of 43 points from their best 8 subjects including English and Maths. Students also need to have selected A level Maths as an option.
All modules in AS and A2 are equally weighted and each has an exam.
