A Level Further Mathematics is a challenging and demanding subject. A fundamental requirement is a genuine interest in the subject, but success at the end of the course depends mainly on commitment and perseverance.
Throughout the course, great emphasis is placed on the development of the necessary study skills. Effective time management and organisational skills are essential ingredients of success. Students are encouraged to seek individual support from their teachers whenever needed.
In addition to normal St Peter’s Sixth Form entry requirements, you should have at least a grade A at GCSE (grade A* is highly recommended.
3 modular examinations in the 1st year, 3 in the 2nd year. Each examination is 1 1/2 hours long.
