Course description

This course is designed to give you the skills and knowledge needed to help you progress to Higher Education to study a degree course in Nursing, Midwifery, Social or Youth work.

Alternatively you could seek employment in a health and social care setting.

Course content

  • Public and environmental health
  • Anatomy and Physiology
  • Pysiological Disorders
  • Diseases and disorders
  • Developing effective communication in Health and Social Care

Entry requirements

You will need to have successfully completed the 90 Credit Diploma in Health and Social Care, maintained attendance at 90% or above and be able to provide a reference from your tutor.


This course is internally assessed through course work. Assignments will include group and project work, presentations, visual displays and written assignments.

Future opportunities

OCR Level 3 qualifications earn you UCAS points, allowing you to progress to Degree.

Students can go into careers such as nursing, teaching, midwifery and social work. Alternatively you can seek employment within the sector.

Further information
