Level 2 Domestic Heating at Trafford College
Designed for Full-Time and adult trainees in the Gas industry and for construction employees who are involved in Building Services and for people wishing become a gas engineer.The course consists of a Diploma in Gas Studies at Level 2. The course is both internally and externally assessed and is made up of a series of practical and written tasks. This will make up the underpinning knowledge for the trainee gas engineer. Obtaining this qualification allows anyone entering the gas profession who is not currently employed in a gas engineer the capacity to seek employment with the sector where NVQ evidence can be gathered.Learning is through classroom based and practical workshop activities. A variety of teaching and learning strategies are employed.Completion of Functional Skills Level 2 Maths and English is compulsory unless a suitable exemption by GCSE certificates can be provided.
5 GCSE's at Grade D or above including Maths and English
The college staff will administer and monitor practical and written assessments covering the range of units and competence.
