Vehicle Maintenance Level 2 Diploma at Furness College
Interested in fixing cars, then learn how to do the job properly with the latest technology for fast fitting and vehicle servicing and save a fortune in car repairs.
This qualification contains subject areas derived from industry standards developed and selected for those working in the motor industry.
Students must complete a number of units, including health & safety, fault finding, component replacement and customer service.
The programme is made up of the C&G 4290 VRQ 2.
Every full-time course will include a real experience of work.
Maths and English form part of this course and will be assessed at the relevant levels.
Four GCSEs at grades D – G (including maths and a science subject) or other equivalent qualifications. You will be required to attend a pre-entry assessment and interview.
You will be assessed through practical competence, portfolio of work, knowledge tests and assignments.
You will need boots, overalls, and stationery equipment.
An Advanced Apprenticeship or employment in a garage setting. Progression is based on aptitude and a successful interview.
