Business Level 2 at Wiltshire College

Course description

If you’re interested in, marketing and promotions, building successful teams, finance, business on line or even setting up your own business, this is the course for you!

The course will give you an introduction to how a modern business operates.  Through the study of business units you will start to develop the skills required for employment in this area. 

Course content

You will study a number units like:

• Sales and personal selling
• Providing Business Support
• Recruitment, Selection and Employment
• Marketing
• Using Business Documentation 
• Building Successful Business Teams
• Business on line

Entry requirements

4 GCSEs at grade D, or above, including English and Maths or equivalent.
A good reference.
A satisfactory interview.


You will be assessed through coursework (internal assessments) and two external assessments set by the awarding body.  Each unit has specified criteria to be used for grading. A summative unit grade can be awarded at pass, merit or distinction.

All assessment is subject to Internal Verification and External National Standards Sampling.
Final Qualification: BTEC First Extended Certificate in Business.
