Children and Young People's Workforce Apprenticeship Level 2 at The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London
An Apprenticeship is a combination of workplace training and classroom learning. You will complete a Level 2 Certificate in Children and Young People's Workforce, paediatric first aid, key skills in
communication and application of number and work skills which form the Apprenticeship Framework.
Workshops will provide you with the underpinning knowledge for working with children and young people.
You must be at least 16 and you must be employed in an appropriate early years setting such as school, nursery, group childminder, pre-school or after school club/ holiday play schemes.
You will be assigned an assessor who will carry out observations and professional discussions with you in the work setting and will support you to build a portfolio of evidence. For your key skills you will complete a portfolio of work and take a short test.
This qualification will enable you to gain employment as an assistant and will then give you the opportunity to progress to an Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3 qualification.
