The qualification facilitates progression to further engineering and building services qualifications. The qualification does not make the individual an electrician, but allows progression to further study.
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification although Centres should ensure that the learners have the potential to achieve the units selected within this qualification.
The qualification can be delivered completely at the Centre, with a mix of workshop and theory sessions with practical and theory assessments.
