Team Leading - level 2 (ILM) NVQ Certificate at Buxton & Leek College

Course description

This qualification is designed for new and aspiring team leaders to get an in-depth introduction to their role and its responsibilities. This is a nationally recognised qualification – the ideal launch pad for your management career.

Course content

On completion of the course you’ll be able to:

• Understand the core skills to lead a team successfully

• Implement motivation techniques to get the best from people

• Have the confidence to tackle difficult issues, like underperformance

• Develop the tools to develop as a leader.

 The course challenges your knowledge and examines areas for improvement. Throughout the course you’ll receive support and mentoring from experienced assessors. Our ILM centre has been granted direct claim status on basis of the quality of our students’ portfolios.

Entry requirements

You must be a potential or current Team Leader or a newly promoted Manager.

Assessment

You’ll be assessed in the workplace through examination of evidence, observation and discussion with assessor. Evidence is balanced against the requirements of the chosen units; some of which are mandatory and the remainder chosen by candidates.
