Indian Head Massage NVQ Level 3 at Buxton & Leek College

Course description

This course will provide you with a detailed knowledge and understanding Indian Head Massage treatments, the history of massage and the related anatomy and physiology and health and safety. The qualification gives opportunity to study a wide range of treatments that are currently used out in industry. As part of the programme you will have the opportunity to complete additional qualifications and training in gel nails, spray tans, ear piercing and cat walk make-up. You’ll also have the chance to attend beauty exhibitions.

Entry requirements

You will need Level 2 Beauty Therapy qualification and a good standard of education.


The programme is assessed continuously via practical assessments. There is a strong student centered approach to the course where all students are encouraged to develop confidence to learn independently.

Future opportunities

The course will enable successful students to move into a career in the massage industry in various job roles in different settings. You will also be able to progress on to other courses such as Aromatherapy Massage, Stone Therapy and Body Massage.
