History A Level at Park High School
History is an incredibly useful and versatile subject. It trains the student how to write in an academic manner, notably with the coursework (which only English and History have been allowed to keep). It is extremely academically rigorous and requires that students are well-read and capable of developing a clear argument. The academic rigour of History thus yields benefits across all subjects. These skills are invaluable at university level as it means students already have extensive training in academic research and writing.
