Applied Science Edexcel BTEC Level 3 Extended Certificate at Chiswick School

Course description

The Extended Certificate course is equivalent to 1 A Level and covers Principles and applications of science 1, Practical scientific procedures and techniques, Science Investigation Skills and a choice of one optional Unit.

Entry requirements

5 A* - C grades including 4 or 5 in Maths and English Language. Merit grade in BTEC Level 2 Science

Future opportunities

Students can top up their units to get L3 BTECs in Medical Science or Forensics, or a whole range of other subjects. This course can also lead to employment in Education as a Science Technician in a school or university laboratory, a quality control laboratory in the manufactoring industry, a hospital laboratory or a materials testing laboratory in the construction, paper or plastics industry.
