AS/A2 Health & Social Care at Newbold Community School
Why should I study this course? Health & Social Care at A-Level develops an interest and understanding of health and well-being. A work based placement (in Year 12) will help develop skills of research, evaluation and problem solving in a work-related context as well as developing personal response to observations and experiences within a care setting. The work placement will allow you to experience real life situations and develop investigative and communication skills which will be directly relevant to future employment.
We aim to have Health & Social Care professionals visit lessons to broaden understanding of the different work and roles of people in this sector.
