Mathematics Higher IGCSE (Distance Learning) at National Extension College *Fees Payable*

Course description



Building on the content of the foundation course, but adding more advanced topics and going into more depth, this distance learning IGCSE will cover everything you need to know to achieve up to an A* in the Edexcel exam. If you want to study maths at advanced level or go on to study a subject related to maths at university, or you are interested in working in a field that uses applications of maths, gaining a strong IGCSE in the subject is critical. 


You should allow for between 120 and 150 hours' study time, plus additional time for completing assignments. You will have tutor support for a period of up to 18 months from the date of enrolment.

You will need a good grounding in basic maths for this course.


This course follows specification 4MA0 from the awarding organisation Edexcel. Full details of the specification can be obtained from Edexcel's website.

Two exams: 2hrs (50% of marks) and 2hrs (50% of marks)

All exams must be taken in the same session
