Health and Social Care Level 2 at East Kent College
Perfect if you want to gain formal qualifications that will allow you to care for adults aged 18+.
You’ll learn hands-on caring skills along with specific work-related skills such as First Aid, Safeguarding, Manual Handling and Nutrition. You will undertake a one day a week work placement to further develop your practical skills.You can look forward to working in our newly refurbished clinical ward and domestic home teaching environment.This Study Programme will include English and Maths at an appropriate level, and it will support the development of skills towards employability and suitability to progress onto the next level of study.
You will need a minimum of four GCSEs at D grades or equivalent, including Maths and English. Students may be able to progress from Level 1 vocationally related programmes.
You will learn through practical demonstrations, and assessment will be through written work.
If you are 16-18yrs old at the start of the Study Programme, it will be free. There may be additional payments required for trips, visits and other materials. For adult learners (over 19) financial support towards the costs of your Study Programme may be available. Eligible students may be able to get help with course related costs such as travel, equipment and childcare.
