Travel and Tourism with Cabin Crew Level 2 at Peterborough Regional College

Course description

This course is for you if you enjoy working with people and would like to work in the travel and tourism industry. You will study many interesting subjects including how to plan trips, marketing, customer service, careers in travel, holiday destinations and European travel. As part of the separate cabin crew qualification, you will also have the chance to see how cabin crews work and gain experience in our mock cabin and participate in a training day at a London airport.

Course content

You will study a range of modules to broaden your understanding of the travel and tourism industry: • The travel and tourism industry • UK tourist destinations • Marketing • European travel destinations • Planning a study visit • Cruise ship work You will also complete a qualification in cabin crew.

Entry requirements

4 GCSEs at grade D/3 or above including English and maths or relevant level 1 qualification at Merit.

Assessment

Assessment will be through a combination of coursework, presentations, online tests and study visit planning.

Financial information

A study visit and other day trips. You will also need to purchase a scarf or tie as part of your cabin crew uniform.

 

Future opportunities

You can go on to study towards the Level 3 Travel and Tourism or Hospitality course (with a Merit grade). The course has a strong vocational content and could be used to get a job within the travel and tourism industry.
