Philosophy, Ethics & Religion - A Level at Swanshurst School

Course description

If you wonder about what life is and enjoy considering different ideas and possible answers, then you are already being philosophical! In this course we will think about and discuss those ‘big’ questions about life, meaning, God, and how beliefs affect our view of the world. You will investigate different philosophers’ ideas and also examine the foundations of Islam, and will become adept at explaining your understanding in an essay based exam. This course links with both humanity and science A Levels and university degree courses and will enable you to impress your future employer with your skills of analysis and empathy.
